The Perfect Meatball Formula (for kids and adults)
Soft, moist, savory, and easy to chew and VERY freezer-friendly
Meatballs are my favorite gateway foods. They’re naturally soft, easy to portion, and easier to modify. This version skips spicy heat and leans into savory, seasoned, parm-y goodness. The beef and pork combo keeps things moist and rich, while the finely chopped garlic, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning bring flavor. The sauce keeps everything soft and extra moist, and you can mash or cut them into small bites depending on your child’s age and stage.
We make these in BULK!!!
Serving Ideas
Pair these meatballs with smashed sweet potatoes, roasted zucchini, or serve them over soft polenta or small pasta shapes like pastina. They're also great on their own with some avocado slices or cooked grains.
Pro Tip
You can freeze half the batch before baking, just skip the sauce step, freeze on a parchment-lined sheet tray, then transfer to a ziptop bag. When ready to use, bake from frozen with sauce added, adding 10–15 minutes to the baking time.
